One on one work means your sessions are absolutely tailored to you!
Immersive and Intensive are the only other totally customized offerings and both are meant to build momentum in making a change FAST.
-
In individual nutrition counseling you’ll have at least one overarching goal (i.e. “stop bingeing”) which we will always check in around to make sure we are staying on track. You’ll have space and support to attend to anything feeling most relevant to you (i.e. “I am stressed about going to my cousin’s potluck”) at the time of your session as well.
A session typically includes:
Exploration and awareness building around present eating patterns
Strategies for overcoming unhelpful food/body/exercise thoughts and behaviors
Meal planning
Nutrition education
Mindfulness practices which can be applied to the eating process
Goal setting/review
Our time will fly by and you will leave equipped with a game plan for the period of time until our next session.
-
In addition to what’s provided in session you typically receive: take-home resources, check ins, encouragement and feedback between sessions via app and/or messaging.
Individual work may also include coordination of medical monitoring and evaluation as needed.
If you are working with a therapist or another relevant provider you will also have the option to allow care coordination between them and Rise Nutrition Counseling.
If you are in need of a provider, you will receive personalized referrals in individual sessions.

1:1 Nutrition Counseling is for adults 18+
I am now accepting 16 & 17 yr old clients who have a strong personal desire for support in individual counseling & workshops so long as they also have the external support of at least 1 close adult.
If you consider yourself to be in a “special population” such as pregnant women, severe and enduring, neurodivergent, etc., I am ready to work with you.

Rise Nutrition does not accept insurance but provides superbills (a special receipt for services) for you to seek reimbursement from your insurance company.
This is an extra step that we will do our best to make extra simple for you.
If you are extremely interested in 1:1 services, meal group support or a workshop and are unable to pay out-of-pocket please mention this need. You may be eligible for a sliding scale payment arrangement.
